Charles Berry
Died at age 55, El Paso resident

Charles Robert Berry, 55, passed away Thursday, Dec. 23, 2005.

Born in Colfax, Wash., he moved to the El Paso, Texas, area after graduating from the University of Idaho and earned a master's degree in biology from Sul Ross State University. Prior to retiring in 2003, he taught in the science department at Eastwood High School. He was a secondary teacher for more than 27 years. After retiring in 2003, he became a part-time instructor at El Paso Community College. During his years as an educator, he touched the lives of many young people.

He enjoyed photography and was the honorary photographer for the Six Guns and Shady Ladies group in El Paso.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Ortega Berry; his father, Orson Loren Berry Sr., and his wife, Greetis; a brother, Loren Jr., and wife, Ann; and a sister, Cindy Berry.

Memorial services took place Sunday, Jan. 2, at Martin Funeral Home East in El Paso, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the El Paso Humane Society.
