News: I've been at Pemco for more than 17 years now. Hard to believe. Currently, two of my grandchildren are living with me which keeps me very busy. I'm looking forward to retirement and having some time of my own. That's all folks!!2017.
It's hard to believe another 10 years have passed. I retired shortly after I turned 62. There were too many changes at work and I was ready to sleep in. My son, Randy, and grandson, Gabrael, still live with me. My granddaughter, Isabella, moved in with her mother at the beginning of her sophomore year. My other son, Clifton, is still in Corpus Christi, TX. His children, Tyler and Destiny, are living around Pittsburg, TX. Tyler is now a welder and Destiny is attending college.
Shortly after retirement we moved from Mukilteo (on the coast) to North Spokane--Colbert, to be exact. I'm finally back to four season and a lot less rain. I bought a house on 5 pine-treed acres. I must admit I didn't realize all the pollen that comes from the trees in the spring but we enjoy it over here. I keep busy with house and yard work, an exercise class, and numerous other things.
In Sept. 2015 I fell and broke my hip, then three months later had to have the surgery redone. That was not fun but I'm fine now. Just don't challenge me to a race, because I'll lose.
I was all set to attend the reunion but my son is finally having back surgery the middle of July so I need to stay home.
