It’s hard to believe that 50 years have passed since our days at MHS! (Most days) I don’t feel that old!
I still feel extremely blessed. My home is in Salem, Oregon; I am married a dear man who dances with me twice a week, volunteer ushers with me at theaters in Portland, and takes me traveling as we explore the world! My two children both live in Portland; my son has (finally) given me a granddaughter (now 2 1/2) with whom I have an amazing connection!
Retirement from teaching happened several years ago, but I still do some contract work for the Salem school district with the Talented and Gifted department. I find that I am busier in retirement than I was working full time, but it is now certainly more fun. I am part owner with my brother of a cabin on Lake Coeur d’Alene, so I do get back to Idaho occasionally. I just got back from an amazing cruise in Egypt with 3 girlfriends, and have another overseas trip planned for fall. Travel makes me appreciate living where I do, but also helps me see that I am part of a larger human family.
My goal now is to treasure every moment, enjoy my family and friends to the fullest, and go dancing into the sunset! 2007:
News: I'm working on living every moment to its fullest, but have to say that retirement (maybe next year) would be a welcome event! Overall, life is just very good!
