2024:
At the last entry in 2017 we had lived in Moscow for seven years. It's such an easy town to live in: simple traffic, just enough stop lights, convenient shopping and a fantistic bike trail going in two directions. But in 2021 we decided it was time for a new chapter after living in Moscow continuously for ten years, the longest that we have lived anywhere. We targeted the Oregon coast. So we sold our house and put our stuff in storage. It took about six weeks to find a place but it was worth it. We love our new home near Waldport with a view of the beach and the crazy weather. Rain, wind and sunshine come and go through out the day.
Char was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease seven years ago and it's giving her significant grief. Gone are the marathons (she ran in Boston, Big Sur, Portland and Boise's Great Potatoe marathons.)
We spend a month or two each summer at my sister's cabin on Coeur d' Alene Lake. The bike trail is close by for short or long rides. The still water of the lake is a mild substitute for the endless surf at the beach.
